How is School Rewards Different?

Points can not be taken away

Positive reinforcement models should be done separately from disciplinary actions. When used together, it is called negative punishment.

Taking away points can also drive a greater divide among students with support at home than those without.

For example, if Suzie has a disruptive home life and works hard to earn points at school, then later loses those same points for being tardy or missing homework. It should come as no surprise that she will become increasingly discouraged and lose motivation.

What good is a program if teachers are not onboard? School Rewards Me was born from educators who wanted a powerful, yet simple rewards program. With that in mind, we still have teachers at the helm, ensuring that School Rewards Me is a fun, positive program with teacher adoption as our focus.
